Weather and when to go
France has a pleasant temperate climate. Summers are hot and dry. Chiller is in the Pyrenees and in the Alps. An exception to the steady weather is Bretaña, which has relatively cool summers and mild winters. Average temperature in Paris: January 3.6 and July 19.3 degrees Celsius. Average annual rainfall in Paris is 645 mm.
French Riviera is beautiful during the summer months, Paris in the spring and in the autumn you may visit castles. Less suitable period shall be January to February, because usually it is cold and rainy. Holidays in France, is often a culinary experience, independent of the season.

Plaza de Armas - Main Square Designed by Pedro de Valdivia, it is considered the heart of the city. It is surrounded by the Cathedral, the Audiencia Real (Royal Court), the Central Post.
Santiago's Cathedral. The building of the current temple -the fourth one, since the previous three were shattered by earthquakes and fires- was initiated during the government of Ortiz de Rosas, between 1748 and 1775. The new church was located in the same place chosen by Pedro de Valdivia, the city's founder, for the original one.
Real Audiencia Palace or National Historical Museum. It was built between 1804 and 1907.
Palacio de la Moneda The government and presidential seat. The building was ordered by the Spanish Crown to the end of the 18th century. The design was in the hands of the Italian architect Joaquin Toesca.
