Weather, weather forecast and when to go to Turkey
Turkey is in the subtropical zone. Pleasant conditions are on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. In summer the temperatures are approaching 40 degrees of Celsium. In spite of some rains there is pleasant weather on the south coast in winter. In the interior, the climate is similar to the continental climate type. Summers here are hot and winters cold. The winters in the Armenian Highlands are hard and frost and the temperature falls to minus 20 degrees of Celsium. In Istanbul, the average temperature ranging between plus 5.6 degree of Celsium in January to 23.1 degree of Celsium in July. The average winter temperature in the capital Ankara is significantly lower (minus 0.7 degree of Celsium) in comparison with Istanbul. Summer temperatures here are about the same. Annual rainfall in Turkey is about 400 to 700 milimetres. An exception is the Black Sea coast, where the annual rainfall reach 2,500 milimetres.
Thanks to very long summer Turkey is sought-after destination sought from early spring until late autumn. It is preferable to visit the inland out of the summer months, because there are pitiless heats during the holiday time.

Pamukkale is Turkey's biggest natural attraction. Annually attracts crowds of tourists. This is a beautiful lake in the white sintering step arrangement. Literal translation is Pamukkale Cotton Castle. Water in the lake temperature is 37 degrees C. Near Pamukkale Hierapolis is situated.

Bospor
Bospor (known also as Bosporus) the strait between Europe and Asia. It connects the Black and Marmara Sea. The narrowest point measured 660 meter. In Istanbul (lying on the shore of Marmara Sea) is Bospor bridge the two bridges.
The Dardanelles (formerly known as the Hellespont) connects the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara.
Canals Bospor and the Dardanelles - the important international waterway - separates Europe and the mainland of Asia. It means that both canals connect the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.

Troja
Troja is a mythological place. Thanks to Schliemannove excavations of the years 1871 to 1890 it is uncovered.
Trojan Horse. Historical sources indicate the Trojan War as the cause of beautiful Helena, Meneláa wife, kidnapped by Paris. At the entrance to the tourist-trafficked places is replica of the wooden Trojan horse, and the museum. There are also works in several layers, which are probably the king's palace Trojan Direct.
