Weather and when to go
Sweden has a climate influenced by the Gulf Stream. It relieves winters and summers and bring warm and moist air. There is abundant rainfall in August. The northern part has significantly colder climate that is influenced by airflow from the Siberian fields. In the capital, the average January temperatures are around minus 3 degrees and in July they reached nearly 18 degrees Celsius. Annual rainfall varies at 555 mm, while the northeast of the country having annual rainfall ranging from 1000 to 2000 mm.

Stockholm - a city on the islands.
The old town of Gamla Stan is very interesting. Gamla Stan itself and the nearby island of Riddarholmen are full of sights, attractions, restaurants, cafés, bars and places of medieval city. There is a unique fairy tale atmospere in the narrow cobblestone streets.

National Musuem of Cultural History
Vasa Museum - is the most visited museum in Scandinavia. The main attraction is the ship Vasa, that is the only preserved 17th century ship in the world. There are many exhitions anout the history of the famous boat.
Skansen Open Air Museum - is a great place for tourists as well as for families and childs. It is even crowded during celebrations Midsummer, Walpurgis Night and Lucia. You can admire atmosphere of Skansen in the Christmas season. There is a Christmas market with traditional food specialities.
City Hall (Stadshuset) - typical red brick building is located on Kungsholmen (King's Island). It is known mainly due to its unique art treasures and Nobel Prize Banquet. Do not miss the chance to visit Golden Hall with beautiful mosaics.
Aquaria Water Museum - nice sea tanks with species from Amazon and Baltic Sea.
Brunnsvike Lake - in the area around the lake are National City Park and Haga Park. You can admire Gustav III’s pavilion, Haga Castle, The Copper Tents and the Butterfly and Bird House.
Absolut Ice Bar - this is a special bar of ice. It is really cool.

Turning Torso - the building of Turning Torso is a landmark of Malmö. The tower reaches a height of 190 metres with 54 stories. The tower was designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
