Family and kids
Our advice is to visit Disneyland near Paris. There is also other Theme parks - Parc Astérix and Futuroscope.

Couple
1) a historic city - Bordeaux. This is a nice city with many tourist attractions. One of the most inetersting is the Aquitaine Bridge and Pedestrian Center. Don´t miss the Victory Arch and the tower of Saint-Michel.
2) If you prefer sport activities for two, we suggest to visit Cassis. It is andeal place for swimming, sunbathing (here you can find sandy beaches and also a nudist beach), boating. You can try also cycling, hiking and climbing. Ask for local map at the Tourist Office.

Group
Paris is a good starting point. Visit Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries, the Champs-Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Then the Tour Eiffel , Musee d'Orsay, and Louvre. If you have enough time, you can walk along the Seine.

Seniors
Our suggestion is to visit Nice and French Riviera. Attend the Colline du Chateau and Museums. You can admire intersting beaches and views. Note the beaches are crowded. If you prefer swimming, visit Cannes.

Single
Aix-en-Provence is a small city with an unique student atmospehere. You can admire narrow streets and architecture from 17th century.

Biker
As in France is biking very popular, we suggest some untypical places. Try to bike on Corsica and Brittany. Corsica offers many routes on mountains with spectacular views. In Brittany you can bike on firmly routes and relax thanks to an ancient countryside with small fishing villages, walled cities and prehistoric megaliths. Afterwards you can take a rest on small beaches.

Skier
One of the most beautiful resorts is Chamonix. From skiing resorts we suggest Vallée blanche (White Valley) and Les Houches. Nice skiing areas are also in Vanoise:Trois Vallées, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes / Val d'Isère.

Adventurer
Bagnères-de-Bigorre is a favourite place for outdoor and adventure activities. It is located at the foot of the wild Pyrenees mountains. If you like history, maybe you can visit a historic fortress Carcassonne. It is very impressive during the day and night.

Explorer
One of the fantastic areas is Vercors. Here you can explore caves, gorges and canyons.

Auvergne

  Auvergne - an area of volcanic peaks. The highest of them Puy de Sancy is 1885 meters high. Located in the mountain range Monts Dore. The whole area is a protected natural park volcanoes Area (Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans).

Seine

  Seine River - between the sea and the city of Rouen occurs tidal wave during the tide that changes the normal flow of the river.
